While people in the UK are gradually coming out of lockdown, there have been some recent devastating events around the world: the second wave of Covid-19 in India; St Vincent volcano eruption; and a deadly crush at a Jewish festival.
In response to this, our BME network recognised that some members of staff may have directly suffered the loss of a loved one or have been affected by what’s happening and are reaching out to members and wider staff to offer support.
The BME network is encouraging everyone to check in with a colleague to have a wellbeing conversation – a kind word may be all that’s needed. Taking care of ourselves and each other has never been more important. Further information and resources are available on the staff wellbeing hub, including a handy staff wellbeing pocket guide.
If you are in a position to donate financially to support the Covid crisis in India, please contribute to justgiving/indiacovidappeal and/or Disasters Emergency Committee.
