As staff and services prepare to transfer to Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust on 1 April and Mersey Care on 1 June, it’s important to reflect and celebrate what we’ve achieved together over the years.

After 31 May 2021, North West Boroughs Healthcare will no longer exist as an organisation. We know this will be tinged with sadness for some people, and that many of you have been part of the Trust and its previous incarnations for several years.

We also recognise that you have developed strong relationships with people in all parts of the organisation, meaning you could be saying goodbye to close colleagues and friends as a result of the transfer.

For this reason, we’re creating opportunities for staff across the Trust to reflect and share their memories, highlights, photos and good luck messages, with a particular focus on our Wigan, Bolton and Greater Manchester staff before they leave on 31 March.

You might be planning to mark this milestone within your own teams, which is great, but we’d love you to get involved.

Post your comments, photos, memories, thank you and well done messages on our online message board.

Team notice boards

You might prefer to create a local notice board within your ward or office to display your favourite moments. If you choose to do this, it would be great if you could send a photograph of it to communications@nwbh.nhs.uk so we can share it more widely.

If you manage staff who don’t regularly access emails, please share this information through your team huddles and other meetings.

If you’re doing anything else within your teams to mark the end of this era, please let us know: communications@nwbh.nhs.uk
