Due to severe cold weather hitting the UK, the Met Office have issued a Level three alert. There is a 90per cent probability of severe cold weather/icy conditions/heavy snow between 9am on Friday 22 January and 12am on Tuesday 26 January 2021 in North West England.

The Met Office have warned overnight frosts and daytime temperatures in low single figures Celsius. Occasional wintry showers.
