This campaign has been developed to support NHS organisations in the recovery and restoration of services, through maintaining the highest level of Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) behaviours.

As the vaccination programme continues, it remains vitally important that we all continue to protect ourselves and others by maintaining high levels of IPC compliance. Each action you take has a big impact, which is why Every action counts.

We all have a responsibility to reduce the spread of coronavirus. By following IPC measures you will help to keep your colleagues, patients and visitors safe.

If you see something, say something – it’s ok to ‘call it out’ and remind colleagues, patients and visitors to make space, fix or change their PPE or observe other measures.

Posters – to be displayed in staff areas to remind colleagues of expected behaviours

Digital cards – for information only

IPC champion – the below tool outlines the principles underpinning IPC role champion activities and gives examples on how this role could be implemented.

Hints and tips – quick reference cards have been developed to support staff to speak up and remind colleagues and patients/visitors when they are not following IPC measures.
