February is LGBT+ History Month
February is the UK’s 15th LGBT History month with the National theme for 2021 being Body, Mind and Spirit, emphasising the importance of physical, mental and social wellbeing.
Our LGBT+ Staff Network encourage all staff to get involved with the Time to talk conversations, making time to focus on your own wellbeing.
A small conversation about mental health has the power to make a big difference. Danny Sculthorpe and Phil Veivers are lifestyle and wellbeing coaches at our Trust.
To celebrate LGBT+ history month our LGBT+ staff network have come up with a guide about the History and challenges the LGBT communities have faced over the decades from the First Pride Event to the creation of LGBT History Month.
Join our LGBT+ Employee Network this Thursday 25 February at 3pm, where we will have a guest speaker Jen Yockney MBE joining us from the charity BiPhoria. At the meeting we will also be closing the LGBT+ History Month. You can join in the discussions via this Microsoft Teams link at 3pm on Thursday 25 February.
The are some exciting Virtual sessions being run by The Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Team at NHS England and NHS Improvement North West. These Bitesize sessions are to celebrate and share best practice. The Webinars will be taking place From 1 February to 26 February 2021 and are open to all to attend.
