Thank you to everyone who has already protected yourself, your loved ones, your colleagues and your patients by having or booking your Covid-19 vaccine.
Appointments are fully booked for the remainder of this week and some of next week, which is great.
So far, we have been prioritising patient-facing and vulnerable staff – thank you for understanding and respecting this.
We are now in a position to open appointments to all other staff who would like to receive the vaccine.
Appointments are currently available to book until the end of next week and more will be added to the system once those slots have been taken. We need to release the appointments a week at a time to make sure we are using all our vaccine each week and not wasting any.
Appointments must be booked online and you cannot just turn up. You will be booking a 10-minute slot, but should expect the whole process (including pre-checks, paperwork and aftercare) to take around half an hour. All appointments are at The Gail Briers Education Centre at Hollins Park.

Please note, you will need to bring your NHS number to your appointment.
The Pfizer vaccine requires two doses given 10-12 weeks apart. This is in line with national guidance and has changed from original guidance which suggested the second vaccine should be given 21 days after the first vaccination. The change is as a result of guidance from the four chief medical officers of the England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland and will allow more people to receive some immunity sooner.
Please do not book your second appointment using the online booking system (Simply Book). This will be booked for you as part of the process during your first appointment. If you need to amend your second appointment, please follow the instructions in your confirmation email.
Cancelling your appointment
If you can’t make your appointment, please cancel it using the unique link at the bottom of your confirmation email. Even if it’s last minute, the real time system will show the appointment as available so it can be booked by someone else.
