An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced pharmacy leader to support the Interim Chief Pharmacist in the development of the Trust's well-established medicines management service in the position of Head of Pharmacy. As a senior member of the service you will provide leadership at a strategic professional level on the safe and effective use of medicines and you will lead on the operational delivery of clinical medicines management services within the corporate and all clinical divisions.

You will be a qualified pharmacist with experience working at a strategic level and will support the delivery of a transformed and integrated medicines management service across the expanded organisation by collaborative working internally and with medicines management leads across the local and regional health economy.

You will act as the lead individual responsible for delivering a comprehensive clinical pharmacy service. You will work at a organisational level on all aspects of quality, governance, team and policy development, forward planning and strategy. In addition, you will lead on departmental HR issues; also deputising for the Chief Pharmacist at trust, regional and national meetings. You will be the registered Medicines Safety Officer and will chair the Trust wide Medicines Safety Group. 

In this role you will work closely alongside the Deputy Medical Director for Medicines and Safer Prescribing and will liaise closely with all of the divisional governance and leadership teams and will have line management responsibility for the Medicines Management Senior Leadership Team.
