We’re holding two special live Q&As on Friday 19 March to answer your questions about all things related to the Covid-19 vaccine in a bid to encourage and enable as many of you as possible to protect yourself and others from the virus.

Vaccine hesitancy Q&A for all staff – 12noon

At 12noon there will be a Q&A session for anyone who is hesitant about the having the Covid-19 vaccine. This session will be looking at a variety of reasons for uncertainty about having the Covid-19 vaccine. It will cover things like side effects, safety of the vaccine, phobias, and fertility concerns.

The panel for this session will be Dr Tessa Myatt, Medical Director; Joanne Hiley, Executive Director of Nursing and Quality; and Dr Kashyap Sarangi, Occupational Physician.

Covid-19 vaccine Q&A for Black Minority Ethnic (BME) staff – 2pm

At 2pm there will be a Q&A to provide BME staff a safe place to explore concerns that exist within their communities, whether that’s cultural, religious, social, or health concerns that have resulted in a lower uptake amongst BME staff compared with other staff.

The panel for this session will be Dr Kashyap Sarangi, Occupational Physician; Dr Parveen Sharma, Consultant Psychiatrist; Dr Aravind Komuravelli, Consultant Psychiatrist; and members of the BME staff network.
