Venue change for face-to-face mandatory training

Face-to-face mandatory training is moving to allow the Gail Briers Education Centre to be used for preparation for delivering the Covid-19 vaccine.

Training will be moving to the following Trust venues, effective immediately:

  • Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression (restrictive physical holding) will be held at:

Willow House, 168 Dragon Lane, Whiston, L35 3QY

This includes both the one-day update training and the full two-and-a-half-day course.

  • Breakaway, Basic Life Support, Paediatric Basic Life Support and Non-Qualified Immediate Life Support will be held at:

Anita Samuels Centre, 4 Ellison Grove, Huyton, Liverpool, L36 9GA

The ground floor of Anita Samuels Centre is currently being used as the base for the Trust’s Covid-19 testing team. Staff attending the above courses will need to park at the rear of the building and gain access through the fire door, also at the rear of the building. You will then be directed to the first-floor training room. Please arrive promptly as late arrivals may mean you will be unable to access the building.

  • Qualified Immediate Life Support and Paediatric Immediate Life Support will be held at:

Willis House, 23 Cumber Lane, Whiston, Prescot, L35 2YZ

Please be aware there are no onsite catering facilities at any of the above venues.

Due to current Covid-19 guidance, all courses have been reduced in capacity, which must be adhered too. Please ensure you have a confirmed place on the relevant course before attending.
