Thank you to more than 80 per cent of you who have had your first Covid-19 vaccine to protect yourself and others against the virus.
While we are no longer able to offer first doses through our Hollins Park vaccination centre, if you haven’t yet had yours, you can access it through one of the many public centres.
As healthcare staff, you do not need to wait until your age group is invited for the vaccine. You can book at any time using your North West Boroughs ID badge. This is because healthcare staff are deemed to be at higher risk of catching and passing on the virus to patients.
It’s your choice whether to be vaccinated, and you may feel you are not personally at risk from the virus. However, we would urge you to remember how dangerous the virus can be to those who are more vulnerable. If you don’t want to have the vaccine to protect yourself, consider having it to help protect your nearest and dearest as well as our vulnerable patients.
Depending on decisions made by the government in relation to Covid passports, being vaccinated could also help you travel and attend large events more freely and safely in the future.
To book your appointment, visit the NHS website.
You can find out more about the three different vaccines now available in the UK (Pfizer, Astra Zeneca and Moderna) on the NHS website.
