An online session has been arranged so you can meet executives from Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust.

As you will be aware, we are preparing for our Wigan, Bolton and Greater Manchester staff and services to transfer to Greater Manchester Mental Health (GMMH) and our Cheshire and Merseyside staff and services to transfer to Mersey Care next year, subject to due diligence.

We strongly believe this is a unique opportunity to work together to build stability and align our Wigan, Bolton and Greater Manchester mental health services with community and hospital services in the area providing our communities with a whole person experience.

GMMH colleagues are keen to welcome you and look forward to building on the excellent work you’re already doing in these boroughs.

Our priority over the coming months is to work with you in the seamless transition of services. We know you will have lots of questions and be eager to know more about what the process will involve and what the next steps are. Likewise, we’re keen to understand what is important to you and to make sure the move to your new organisation is as smooth as possible.

The engagement session will be an opportunity for you to meet GMMH Chief Executive Neil Thwaite and other members of the executive leadership team who will tell you a bit about the trust and share their vision for the future.

You will be able to ask any questions you may have and the majority of the time will be reserved for this. If you would like to submit a question in advance, please email communications@nwbh.nhs.uk. If you would like your question to be anonymous, please say this in your email.

The session will take place on Microsoft Teams (you will all have this next week in time for the meeting) and will be run in a similar way to our existing staff Q&As. Your microphone will be muted and you will be able to ask questions using the chat function. Please join without your camera on.

We will be holding one session which will be recorded for those who are unable to attend.

Date:             Wednesday 25 November

Time:             10am-12noon
