Re: Psychotherapy training during your placement 

Welcome to North West Boroughs Healthcare. 

I organise psychotherapy training for trainees during placements here and wanted to let you know what opportunities are available to you. 

There is a weekly Psychotherapy Case Based Discussion Group facilitated by me on Wednesday afternoons from 3 to 4pm in the Education Centre, for CT1 and CT2 trainees. 

CT1 and CT2 trainees are required to attend these CBD Groups to complete a minimum of 25 by the end of CT2 if not before. 

GP and Foundation trainees are welcome to attend if interested and if numbers allow, though it is not a requirement of your training. If you are interested in attending, please contact me at the start of your placement to request this. For the cohesion of the group, commitment to attend for the full length of your placement is necessary. 

Psychiatry CT2 and CT3 trainees can take on supervised cases. Please see separate information.
