Transferring to Mersey Care – changes to requisitioning, ordering and receipting processes

This email highlights the forthcoming changes in the ordering and financial processes for when we transfer over to Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust.

The changes will affect users of the NHS Shared Business Services Oracle system (SBS), and for requisitioners, there will be an additional change if ordering products supplied by Supply Chain Coordination Ltd (NHS Supply Chain). These changes will come into effect from 1 June 2021.

What’s changing?

The Trust will continue to use SBS for requisitioning goods and services, however, there are two key changes:

  • Online requisitions for products supplied by Supply Chain Coordination Ltd (NHS Supply Chain) will need to be ordered using their own online ordering system

  • Online requisitions for all other products will need to be done using the Edge for Health eMarketplace, which is embedded within Oracle iproc

Training sessions

Full training sessions will be available to all prior to go-live on the 1 June 2021.
