Search our Book Catalogue to find eBooks and to see what we have in the Library. You can also renew and reserve books, once you have logged in with your Reader Code and PIN.

  • Renew or reserve books in person, by email, telephone or online
  • Borrow or return books in person, or through the internal mail system

The library has access to a range of ebooks that can be viewed on and off site. Some of the ebooks can also be downloaded on to a device of your choice, e.g. a PC, tablet or smart phone, for up to 14 days.

You will need an NHS OpenAthens account to access all of the eBooks in our collection, if you do not have an account you can register online.

**Please note that there are charges for inter-library loans. Charges are payable at the time of ordering or may be made against budgets, with the budget holder's approval.

Requests for book loans will be processed on the same day, if possible, or the following working day, at the latest. Any ILL requests that are required urgently will be dealt with on the same day. If items are not received within one working week they will be chased by Library staff.

Items requested for stock by Library users and approved for purchase will be ordered within one month. 

Books are classified according to their subject, using the National Library of Medicine scheme. They are arranged on the shelves in alphabetical order of classmark, then author. A full listing of classmarks is available in the library.

We regularly review our collection to identify out-of-date material, If you come across any such material in our collections, please let us know.
