For at least the first six months Mersey Care has confirmed there will be no expectation for corporate staff to move to Mersey Care’s Corporate Headquarters “V7” unless there are requirements on an individual basis and these discussions will be held directly with staff. The future corporate services operating model including where staff may be based is not likely to be scoped fully until after the transfer.  For the majority of staff they will not be required to change base, clinical services will continue to operate from where they currently do unless Mersey Care change this at a point in the future.  Mersey Care has been encouraging staff to work from home where they can during the pandemic and this is unlikely to change for the foreseeable future.

It is envisaged that all services we deliver in the Cheshire and Merseyside footprint, including inpatient wards, will transfer to Mersey Care. Our inpatient wards provide services for people in the boroughs in which they are located. These will still be needed after the transaction with Mersey Care has taken place.

Mersey Care allows smoking in designated areas under specific circumstances. It is expected that, as part of the transition to Mersey Care, our policies will be reviewed and consideration will be given jointly to whether it would be in the best interests of patients and staff to extend this approach.

There are currently no plans for this particular building. All services will continue to be provided from their current locations post-acquisition. The overall estate will be reviewed 6-12 months post-acquisition and changes will only be made based on the needs of clinical services.

There are no car parking charges at V7 or the Liverpool Innovation Building (LIP). However, LIP does operate an ANPR system so vehicle registrations do need to be submitted to be registered on the system.

Mersey Care has been encouraging staff to work from home where they can during the pandemic and this is unlikely to change for the foreseeable future.   Mersey Care is planning to test out whether hybrid home and office working can be used going forward post-Covid and staff will be updated in relation to this over the summer.
