​The Infection Control team maintain a quality Infection Prevention and Control service across the Trust. We aim to prevent and control health care associated infections for service users, carers, staff and visitors to the Trust and we work with all Trust staff and in partnership with other local NHS trusts, non-NHS bodies, the local authority and the public to achieve this. 

We hold various study days, infection prevention and control updates, training and development and introduce national initiatives into the Trust. 

We organise the Infection Control Group which is a group that directs the Trust’s response to infection prevention and control and to ensure that the relevant elements of the national policy are addressed.
