Our chosen charity

As voted for by you, our chosen charity for 2020/21 is Young Minds.

Money raised throughout the year will be divided between Young Minds and our own Trust charitable funds, which staff and services can apply for to fund small projects and activities for patients and service users.

On this page, you will find:

Donating to Young Minds ensures that their work championing the wellbeing and mental health of children and young people will continue.

Just Giving

In order to make the fundraising process as simple as possible, we're encouraging all donations to be made online by visiting our Trust's Just Giving page: www.justgiving.com/NWBoroughsNHS

You can donate any amount at any time, anonymously or not.

We would also encourage anyone who is taking part in any activities to raise money for our charities to direct people to this page rather than set up a separate page. Contact the Communications Team to discuss setting up a sub section for your personal event or activity: communications@nwbh.nhs.uk

Cash donations

If you receive or collect any cash donations, please contact the Finance Team: charitablefunds@nwbh.nhs.uk

We are supporting a range of national health campaigns throughout 2019 which you can get involved in to both raise awareness and also raise funds.

There are so many ways you can fundraise. Some ideas are listed below to get you started.

Once you've decided what you want to do, please let us know so we can support you and promote your event – big or small – email: communications@nwbh.nhs.uk

Active events

If you would like to raise funds by getting involved in an active event,  you can find different challenges throughout the North West you can take part in, whether it's cycling, running, open water or triathlons.

Bring one, buy one

We all have things we no longer use, so why not organise a bring and buy sale? Fashion, jewellery and homewares are always in demand or you could run a book stall to sell second-hand tales for charity.

Hold a raffle

Raffles are simple to put together and you could ask local businesses to get involved by donating prizes to drum up some funds.

Host a tea party

Get together with family, friends, colleagues, patients and carers to host a tea party in return for a donation.

The Great Workplace Bake Off

Sweet treats always go down well at our Trust, and no doubt there is a member or two of the team who loves to bake. Ask people in your team to bring in a plate of treats and ask for a donation. You could even organise a cake competition to really challenge the bakers.

If you need some inspiration, this A-Z of ideas could help.

Trust-wide events and activities

We will be organising some Trust-wide activities everyone can get involved with. These will be shared and promoted through the usual communications channels as well as being listed below in our fundraising leader board table.
