The Trust acknowledges that continuous professional development is a necessary pre-requisite to ensure Consultant and other career grade medical staff maintain and develop their clinical skills for the benefit of the individual and the Trust.
It is also acknowledged that clinicians may be called upon to provide input on a national and international basis in teaching others and participating in the work of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and other external bodies.
