The Deputy Director of Patient Safety has a trust-wide responsibility on behalf of the Director of Patient Safety to ensure that there is robust governance and oversight of specific areas of practice that relate to patient safety including complaints , mortality and adverse incident management, Mental Health Act Managers and Law and legal management .
The post holder will be identified as the person responsible for the delivery of the risk management agenda across the Trust and ensuring that the Board and its sub committees understand and are aware of the risks in the organisation and the mitigations being put in place.
The post holder will deputise for the Director of Patient Safety and on occasions for the Executive Medical Director in their absence in matters relating to the patient safety agenda and their specific portfolio.
