The Communications and Marketing Team manages media relations and responds to media enquiries on behalf of the Trust.

If a member of the media contacts you directly, please take the following steps:

  • Don't give any information - explain the Communications and Marketing Team handles media enquiries
  • Give the reporter the Communications and Marketing Team's contact details - tel: 01925 664 002 / email: communications@nwbh.nhs.uk
  • Inform your team manager or head of service
  • Team manager or head of service to contact the Communications and Marketing Team to make them aware of the call and brief them as necessary

  • Don't give any information - transfer the reporter to switchboard: 01925 664 000
  • They will put the reporter in touch with the on-call director, who is authorised to deal with urgent, out-of-hours media enquiries
  • Please refer to the Trust's Out-of-hours Media Protocol for further information

There are national copyright rules in place to prevent copying and sharing of newspaper and magazine content. This applies to our Trust and means staff cannot scan, email, distribute or archive pages from newspapers or magazines.

This does not affect online content and articles.

If any member of staff contravenes these rules, we could be fined by the Newspaper Licence Authority.
