Due to severe cold weather hitting the UK, the Met Office have issued a level three alert. There is a 95per cent probability of severe cold weather/icy conditions/heavy snow between 9am on Wednesday 10 February until 12am on Saturday 13 February 2021 in North West England.

Met office have warned of Snow showers with some further accumulations until Wednesday evening. Severe overnight frosts and icy stretches, with maxima struggling to reach 0 C by day.
