Litherland Walk-in Centre has undergone huge changes in order to respond to the pandemic. The team have worked closely with primary care to provide the red site for face-to-face assessments of Covid patients in South Sefton. Whilst it has been the most difficult of times, the team have risen to the challenge every day and the service has thrived.
From the money the walk-in centre received as a result of Captain Tom's heroic fundraising, a bench has been installed as a fitting tribute. It will also provide staff with an outside area for much deserved rest and reflection when they most need it.
A plaque on the bench quotes Captain Tom’s famous words, “The sun will shine and the clouds will go away."
