It is expected that most issues that could lead to grievances will be discussed and dealt with satisfactorily within the course of normal working relationships where people should feel that their problems and opinions can be discussed with their line manager.  However where a grievance needs to be raised it should be settled as near to its source as possible.

All employees have the right to seek redress for grievances relating to their employment.  This Policy and Procedure allows for individual employees, or a group of employees, to raise grievances and to have them settled fairly and promptly.
